All Terminal Siren jewelry is made with sterling silver, gold-fill and/or gold vermeil:
- Sterling silver: an alloy of 92.5% silver and another metal
- Gold-fill/gold-filled: a layer of gold mechanically bonded to another metal
- Gold vermeil: a layer of gold (relatively thinner than gold-fill) plated over sterling silver
All shark teeth used in Terminal Siren jewelry are fossils, millions of years old. They are usually megalodon shark tooth fossils but shark teeth from other species like the mako shark are also featured. The colours on these teeth develop from different minerals in the sediment during the process of fossilization. For example, pink or red teeth are caused by iron ore (rust).
Spiralite gemshells are unique agatized seashell fossils from India and are estimated to be over 100 million years old. In the fossilization process, the original seashell is completely replaced by semi-precious agate, with or without areas of druzy crystals.
All shells (e.g. abalone) used in Terminal Siren jewelry are ethically sourced.
